Really Good, Easy Homemade Honey Whole Wheat Bread

I am by no means a great cook (just ask my brother Matthew :) ), but this is too easy and good not to pass on. It comes from a slow cooker book Megan bought for my mom and it is so great!
Here is it!!

Honey Whole Wheat Bread in the Slow Cooker

2/3 c. powdered milk
2 c. warm water
2 TBL oil
1/4 c. honey
3/4 tsp salt
2/4 tsp or 1 packet yeast
3 c. whole wheat flour
1 c. flour

Directions

- Dissolve warm water and powdered milk
- Combine oil, honey, salt, yeast, 1/2 of both flours, add warm water and powdered milk mixture
- Mix on low 2 min, add remaining flours, beat until combined
- Spray inside of slow cooker so bread does not stick
- Cook 2-3 hours on high
-Remove from slow cooker (keep the bread in the stoneware in slow cooker, just remove that from the actually machine part)
- Sit 5 min, and then turn upside down to remove bread.
- Serve with warm with honey butter or butter and jam and it is DELISH!!!

Precious

I love this little girl. She is so sweet. And beautiful. And extremely chubby. So precious.

In other news....both of my little darlings are sick, sick, sick. They have both been up most of the night the last 3 nights!! I'm tired, but feel pretty good. I think my body has kicked into overdrive. I really worry at nights when my kids are sick, especially when they are congested and I am worried about their breathing. Croup is my biggest fear, next to choking. But I'm not going to lie...a few zzz's tonight would be fantastic, so hopefully all the breathing treatments and medication will kick in and let us all have a good night's sleep!

Pudding Disaster

Word to the wise...which I apparently am not...although it is quick and easy, pudding does not make a good dessert for FHE...especially when you decide to do dishes and your spouse checks his email instead of supervising the child......:)

FHE and More

My camera battery is dead so these are some pics I took with my phone and the quality is not the best. Yes...I am that lazy/too busy to charge it.

I made this cake for Matthew's birthday. The picture doesn't do it justice. It is pretty awesome, if I do say so myself.
Aaron took Max on a little ride in front of our apartment. He LOVED it! Now Aaron has to watch out for Max's Grandma's who have forbidden him to take Max on the motorcycle!!
We had a little Family Night outing the other night and went to TCBY for $.99 Waffle Cones. Max was a fan!
He took Sadie for a spin....a few seconds later he tried to shove her off.
Taking Sadie for a ride in his helicopter.

The Mother Load Post

It has been way too long since I've posted anything. The following pictures should bring you up to speed on our happenings!!

Miss Sadie just being adorable
We inherited this toy for Sadie, and Max wants to play in it all the time.
This is usually how I find him after playing in his room for awhile.
This little boy plays hard and then crashes.
Sadie sleeping peacefully in the middle of all the chaos below.
17 kids receiving Christmas presents....craziness.
All the boys love to wrestle with Aaron.
Max, Sam and Chad wrestling.
Marley could not get enough of Sadie. She loves to kiss her.
This girls are so cute together.
Looking good in brown.
Aaron and Max got matching flannels for Christmas.
Two of a kind.
Max loved the animals Santa brought him.
He also loves the pony Grandma and Grandpa McLelland gave him.
Not quite sure why we slept in Uncle Tyler and McKay's room, why we are up so early, and why there are all these toys.
Christmas morning
Sadie once again sleeping in the middle of presents being opened.
The weekend before Christmas we hung out with the Keough side in San Francisco. It was SOOOO much fun!!! Here Max is with Grandma Keough.
The kids with Aunt Emma.
Max loved riding on Grandma's suitcase.
We went to the Jelly Belly factory and Sadie opted not to go on the tour but to take a nap with Grandpa instead.
Max sure enjoyed the Jelly Bellies...no surprise there.
Dad and Max wearing the requires hats.
Max wearing more hats at the hat shop on Pier 39.
Luckily Max is a good sport about trying on hats because we love to put them on him.
We were surprised that Max LOVED the carousel!
Mom and Sadie.
Dad and Max.
The Fam.
Sadie once again looking adorable.
Max and Emma spent many a car ride in the back seat together.
One day when Samuel was at our house he put this little number together.
This is how I found them another afternoon when Samuel was over and they had been playing in the room.
Yes...my nightmare has come true!! Max learned to climb out of the crib. After fighting it for a few days, we gave in and made his crib into a toddler bed. Since then he has been staying in bed pretty well which has totally surprised me.
Sadie went in for a checkup today and is getting started on solid foods now. Here is her first feeding, with Max assisting. He likes to wipe her mouth. Apparently I wipe things up and clean a lot because Max likes to have a rag or wipe and clean everything. :)
She did really good with her rice cereal the first time. Most of it stayed in, and she really liked it. Oh, she weighs 16lbs now...and is going to physical therapy Monday to help her neck...it always leans to one side.
Dressed for the cold.
